Lisbon is a town in Androscoggin County, Maine, US, founded in 1799 and incorporated in 1802. It was named after Lisbon, Portugal, by General John Olcott, one of its earliest settlers. The town covers a total area of 46.5 square miles, including 3.9 square miles of water. Lisbon is known for its historic MTM Centre, a former textile mill transformed into a multi-use facility, which now hosts various events and businesses.
