Carson City, Michigan, US is a village located in Montcalm County, founded in 1871. It was named after George A. Carson, a railroad official. The village was incorporated in 1873 and had a population of 1,178 as of the 2010 census. Carson City is home to the Historic Carson City Depot, a notable landmark that was built in 1886 and served as a train station until 1975. The depot now serves as a museum and community center.
