Kingston, MI is a village located in the state of Michigan, United States. It was established in 1845 and named after the capital of Jamaica, due to the area's resemblance to the Caribbean island. The village is known for its historic charm and is home to the Kingston Historic District, which features several buildings from the 19th century. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. Kingston is also the birthplace of Thomas Edison's second wife, Mina Miller.
