Lachine, MI is a small unincorporated community in Schoolcraft County, Michigan, US. It was first settled in the late 19th century and was named after the Lachine Rapids in Montreal, Canada. The community was a stop on the Manistique and Lake Superior Railroad and was known for its lumber industry. A notable attraction in Lachine is the historic Lachine School, which was built in 1915 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
