Reading, MI is a village located in Hillsdale County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It was founded in 1842 and incorporated in 1879. The village was named after Reading, Massachusetts, the former home of one of the early settlers. Reading is known for its historic district, which includes the Reading Railroad Depot, a notable landmark that was built in 1884 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
