Shepherd, MI is a village located in Isabella County in the U.S state of Michigan. It was founded in 1871 and named after early settler Shepherd Brooks. The village covers an area of 1.39 square miles, with a population of 1,354 as of the 2020 census. Shepherd is home to the historic Shepherd Railroad Depot, which was built in 1884 and now serves as a museum and community center.
