Springport, Michigan is a village located in Jackson County in the south central part of the state. It was settled in the mid-1800s and incorporated as a village in 1867. The community is named after a natural spring near the original town site. Springport is home to the historic Springport Church of the Nazarene, a beautiful example of Gothic Revival architecture that was built in 1880. Today, the village has a population of approximately 900 residents and is known for its small-town charm and rural character.
