Walkerville, MI, US is a village in Oceana County, established in 1889. It was named after Chicago businessman John H. Walkerville who owned a sawmill there. The village was incorporated in 1893 and became a center for lumbering and agriculture. The most notable landmark in Walkerville is the historic Walkerville Water Tower, built in 1894, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
