Fulton, MO, US is a city in Callaway County, established in 1825. It was named after Robert Fulton, the inventor of the steamboat. The city played a significant role in the Civil War as a site of the Battle of Fulton and the birthplace of the Confederate raider, General Joseph O. Shelby.
