Morehouse, MO is a city in Ashley and Newton counties, located in the southwestern part of the state. It was founded in 1870 and incorporated in 1883. The city was named after Henry W. Morehouse, a secretary of the American Baptist Home Mission Society. Morehouse is home to the Morehouse Mural, a notable landmark painted by a local artist, which depicts the history of the city and its residents. The city has a rich agricultural history and is known for its annual Morehouse Mound Days festival.
