Orrick, Missouri is a small town located in Ray County, approximately 30 miles east of Kansas City. It was founded in the mid-1800s and named after a local judge, Levi Orrick. The town was a stop on the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad, which contributed to its growth. Today, Orrick has a population of around 800 people and is known for its annual Orrick Bluegrass Festival, which attracts musicians and music lovers from all over the region.
