Noxapater is a town in Winston County, Mississippi, US. It was incorporated in 1905 and had a population of 422 as of the 2010 census. The town is named after a Choctaw leader, Noxubee, with "pater" meaning "father" in the Choctaw language. Noxapater's notable landmark is the Noxapater United Methodist Church, a historic church with Gothic Revival architecture, built in 1908.
