Randolph, Mississippi is a small town located in Covington County, founded in 1835. It was named after John Randolph of Roanoke, a prominent Virginia politician. The town was incorporated in 1838 and served as a commercial center for the surrounding agricultural area. During the Civil War, Randolph was occupied by Union troops. Today, the town is home to the historic Randolph Cemetery, which contains graves dating back to the early 19th century.
