Tishomingo is a town in Tishomingo County, Mississippi, US, located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It was incorporated in 1874 and has a population of approximately 300 as of 2020. The town is named after Tishomingo, a Chickasaw chief who signed the Treaty of Pontotoc in 1832, ceding Chickasaw land to the United States. Tishomingo State Park, a notable attraction, offers a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, and rock climbing, and features the state's only natural rock bridge.
