Arapahoe is a town in Pamlico County, North Carolina, United States. Established in the late 1600s, it was originally inhabited by the Algonquian-speaking Arapahoe tribe. The town was officially incorporated in 1883 and became a commercial center for the surrounding farming community. A notable landmark is the Arapahoe Charter School, which is known for its high academic standards and has been recognized as a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education.
