Winnabow is a small unincorporated community in Brunswick County, North Carolina, US. It was established in the late 17th century and named after the Waccamaw Siouan tribe that inhabited the area. The community has a rich history, including being the site of the Battle of Winnabow, a minor skirmish during the American Revolutionary War. A notable attraction is the Brunswick Town/Fort Anderson State Historic Site, which features the ruins of Brunswick Town, a colonial port town established in 1726.
