Grant, NE, US is a city in Perkins County, established in 1887. It was named after Ulysses S. Grant, the 18th President of the United States. The city serves as the county seat and has a population of approximately 1,100 as of the 2010 census. Grant is home to the historic Chief Standing Bear Memorial Bridge, the first bridge on the National Register of Historic Places to honor an individual Native American.
