Dunellen, New Jersey, US, is a borough in Middlesex County established in 1887, originally as a portion of Piscataway Township. It was named after the Dunellen Station, a railroad station built in 1875 by the Central Railroad of New Jersey. The borough is just 1.2 square miles in size with a population of approximately 7,000. A notable attraction is the Washington Rock State Park, located near the borough, which offers panoramic views of the New York City skyline and is historically significant as the spot where General George Washington watched British troop movements during the American Revolutionary War.
