Ship Bottom is a borough in Ocean County, New Jersey, US, established in 1894 and incorporated in 1925. It is the northernmost municipality on Long Beach Island. The borough is named after the southern tip of Long Beach Island, which was the original "ship bottom" or keel of the island. The town is known for its beaches, the historic 1916-built Beach Arbor Convention Hall, and the Long Beach Island Museum, which showcases the region's cultural and maritime history.
