Galway, New York, US is a town in Saratoga County, established in 1799. It was named after Galway, Ireland, by its first settler, James Galwey. The town covers an area of 43.6 square miles and had a population of 2,845 as of the 2010 census. A notable attraction in Galway is the Bell Knox Covered Bridge, built in 1880, which is one of the few remaining covered bridges in Saratoga County.
