Lima, New York, US is a town in Livingston County, established in 1808 and named after Lima, Peru. It was originally part of the Town of Conesus and was formed from a section of it. The town covers an area of 37.1 square miles, with a population of approximately 2,300 as of 2010. A notable landmark is the Lima Jail and Museum, which was built in 1876 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
