Walden is a town in New York, US, located in the southeastern part of Orange County. It was established in 1704 and has a population of approximately 7,000. The town is named after the English village of Walden in Buckinghamshire. Walden's most notable landmark is the World's Largest Garden Gnome, located at the Foster Supply Heritage Center. The gnome, named Chomsky, stands over 13 feet tall and was erected in 2019.
