Amanda, Ohio is a village located in Hocking County, in the southeastern part of the state. It was founded in 1835 and named after Amanda Miller, the daughter of a local landowner. The village is home to the historic Miller House, a Greek Revival-style building that was constructed in 1840 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, Amanda has a population of around 700 residents and covers an area of 0.7 square miles.
