Coolville is a village in Athens County, Ohio, United States. It was established in 1857 and named after the Cool family. The village covers an area of 0.73 square miles and had a population of 490 as of the 2010 census. Coolville is home to the Coolville Iron Furnace, a notable landmark that was built in 1854 and used to produce iron for the Union Army during the Civil War.
