Little Hocking is an unincorporated community in Washington County, Ohio, United States. It is located along the Little Hocking River, which was historically used for transportation and water power. The community was named after the river, which in turn was named by Native Americans for its resemblance to the Hocking River. The Little Hocking Lock and Dam, a notable landmark, was built on the river in 1915 as part of the Muskingum River Navigation System.
