Sciotoville, Ohio, US is a village in Scioto County, established in the late 19th century as a result of the construction of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. The village was originally a collection of small communities, which were combined to form Sciotoville in 1888. The community was a significant industrial center, with factories producing iron, steel, and glass. The most notable landmark in Sciotoville is the historic Loveland Castle, also known as Chateau Laroche, which was built in the early 20th century by a local historian and is now a popular tourist attraction.
