Carnegie, Oklahoma is a town in Caddo County, established in 1902 and named after Andrew Carnegie. It was originally a farming community, but later became a significant oil production center. The town is known for its Carnegie Library, one of the few remaining Carnegie libraries in the state, which was built in 1912 with a grant from the industrialist. Today, Carnegie has a population of around 1,500 and serves as an agricultural and oil service hub.
