Cyril, Oklahoma is a town in Caddo County, established in 1901 during the Oklahoma Land Run. It was named after Cyrus Aring, a local cattleman. The town's growth was driven by the arrival of the St. Louis and San Francisco Railway. Cyril is known for its historic downtown district, which includes the Cyril Commercial Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The district features well-preserved early 20th-century commercial architecture.
