Lane, OK is a town in McClain County, established in 1902. It was named after the Choctaw chief, Green McCurtain's wife, Minerva Lane. The town was a stop on the Choctaw, Oklahoma and Gulf Railroad. Lane is home to the historic Santa Fe Depot, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. The town has a rich history in agriculture, particularly peanut farming.
