Morris, Oklahoma is a town in Okmulgee County, established in 1895. It was named after James Morris, a local farmer and cattleman. The town was originally a stop on the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad and has since grown to a population of approximately 1,500. Morris is home to the Morris Community House, a historic building that was constructed in 1923 and now serves as a community center.
