Savanna, OK is a town in Pittsburg County, located in the eastern part of the state. It was established in the early 20th century, during the expansion of the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad. The town was named after the nearby Savanna Creek. The most notable landmark in Savanna is the Old Frisco Depot, which was built in 1913 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, Savanna has a population of around 700 people and is a quiet, rural community.
