Thomas, Oklahoma is a city in and the county seat of Custer County, in the southern central region of the state. It was established in 1891 and named after Major Thomas B. Marsh, a cattleman and early settler. The city is home to the Thomas Pioneer Museum, which showcases the history of the area, including its Native American and pioneer heritage. As of the 2020 census, the city has a population of approximately 3,000 residents.
