Alum Bank is a borough in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, US. It was established in 1876 and named after the local Alum Spring. The community was originally a farming area that later developed into a coal mining town. The town's population peaked in the early 1900s, and has since declined. The borough is home to the historic Alum Bank Bridge, a 140-foot long Pratt through truss bridge built in 1891.
