Lansdowne is a borough in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States, established in 1893. It was originally part of the Lansdowne Church Manor, a property of the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania. The borough is named after Lansdowne, the historic residence of the Marquess of Lansdowne in England. Developed as a streetcar suburb of Philadelphia, Lansdowne features a variety of architectural styles in its residential areas. The borough is home to the Lansdowne Theater, a notable landmark and a former vaudeville movie house built in 1927.
