Middleburg, Pennsylvania, US is a borough in Snyder County. It was established in 1834 and incorporated in 1864. The town was named after the Middle District of the Susquehanna River, which it is situated near. Middleburg is home to the historic Middleburg Iron Works, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. The iron works, established in 1817, was a significant contributor to the area's industrial growth in the 19th century.
