Newtown Square is a township in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, US, founded in 1681. It was one of the first communities established in the county by Welsh Quakers. The township covers an area of 15.6 square miles and has a population of approximately 12,000. Newtown Square is home to the Willistown Township Museum, a historic site that offers insights into the area's past. The township's history is also reflected in its well-preserved colonial and federal-style buildings.
