Robinson, Texas, located in McLennan County, was established in 1852 and named after George, Jack, and Frank Robinson, who donated land for the townsite. The city was initially a stagecoach stop and later became a farming community. In the early 20th century, the discovery of oil led to growth and development. The city is home to the Texas Motorplex, a notable attraction that hosts national drag racing events. Today, Robinson has a population of approximately 12,000 and continues to grow as a suburban community of Waco.
