Sutherland Springs is a small town in Wilson County, Texas, United States. It was established in the 1850s as a stagecoach stop and grew with the arrival of the railroad in the 1870s. The town is named after its founder, John Sutherland, and has a population of around 600. The town's landmark is the historic Sutherland Springs Baptist Church, which was the site of a tragic mass shooting in 2017.
