Alburgh, Vermont is a town in Grand Isle County, located in the northwest corner of the state. It is the only town in Vermont that is located on the mainland of the United States and also borders Canada. The town was established in 1781 and has a current population of approximately 2,000 residents. A notable landmark in Alburgh is the Sand Bar State Park, a 2,000-foot long natural sandbar that connects the town to Isle La Motte during low tide.
