Cambridge, Wisconsin, US is a village in Dane County, established in 1847. It was named after the University of Cambridge in England by one of its early settlers, James Sheldon. The village covers a total area of 2.69 square miles, as of the 2020 census, the population was 1,517. Cambridge is home to the historic Cambridge Depot, built in 1857, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
