Colfax, Wisconsin, US is a village in Dunn County, established in 1872. It was named after Schuyler Colfax, Vice President under Ulysses S. Grant. The village covers a total area of 1.39 square miles, as of the 2020 census, the population was 1,138. Colfax is home to the Colfax Fairgrounds, which hosts the Dunn County Fair, an annual event since 1871.
