East Troy, Wisconsin, US is a village in Walworth County, established in 1856. It was named after the town of East Troy in New York, the original home of many of its early settlers. The village is known for its historic downtown area and the East Troy Electric Railroad, a heritage railroad that operates on a portion of the former Milwaukee Electric Railways System. The railroad, which began operation in 1907, offers scenic tours and is a popular tourist attraction.
