Horicon, Wisconsin, US is located in Dodge County and is home to the Horicon Marsh, the largest freshwater cattail marsh in the country. The city was incorporated in 1891 and has a population of approximately 4,000. The marsh, covering over 33,000 acres, is a significant bird migration stop and is known for its diverse wildlife. It was designated a National Wildlife Refuge in 1927 and a State Wildlife Area in 1948.
