Roberts, Wisconsin, located in St. Croix County, was established in the late 1800s as a railroad town. It was named after Henry Roberts, an official of the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis and Omaha Railway. The town's economy initially revolved around logging and farming. Today, it is known for its small-town charm and the historic Roberts Theatre, a notable landmark that was built in 1915. The theater, which still operates today, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
