Lorado, West Virginia, US is an unincorporated community in Fayette County. It was established in the late 19th century as a coal town and was named after Lorenzo Russell, the president of the Coal & Coke Company. The community experienced significant growth during the early 20th century, with a peak population of around 2,000. Today, it is a ghost town with only a few remaining structures, including the well-known Lorado Bridge, a steel truss bridge built in 1912 that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
