Peterstown, West Virginia, US is a town in Monroe County, established in 1810 and incorporated in 1907. It is the southernmost town in the state. The town is named after Peter Van Winkle, a local businessman and politician. The town is home to the Peterstown Historic District, which features several buildings from the 19th and early 20th centuries. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
