Canoga Park is a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California, US. It was originally inhabited by the Tongva people before the Spanish arrived in the late 18th century. The area was part of a large land grant given to Spanish soldier Jose Maria Verdugo and later became a ranching community. In 1912, the area was renamed "Owensmouth" and incorporated as a city, but it was later annexed by Los Angeles in 1917. Canoga Park is known for its rich history and the Westfield Topanga & The Village, a notable attraction that offers shopping, dining, and entertainment options.
