North Canaan, Connecticut, US is a town in Litchfield County, established in 1739. Originally a part of Canaan, it became an independent entity in 1858. The town covers an area of 39.8 square miles, with a population of approximately 3,200 as of 2020. It is home to the famous North Canaan Train Station, a well-preserved example of late 19th-century railroad architecture.
