Watertown, Connecticut, US is a town in New Haven County founded in 1780, originally part of Farmington. It was named after Watertown, Massachusetts, from which many of its first settlers came. The town covers an area of 19.5 square miles, with a population of approximately 22,000 as of 2020. A notable landmark is the Watertown Fife and Drum Corps, a nationally recognized junior drum and bugle corps based in the town.
