Camden, DE is a small town in Kent County, US, founded in 1783. It was named after Charles Pratt, 1st Earl Camden, a British statesman and supporter of American independence. The town is known for its rich history, including the Camden Friends Meeting House, a historic Quaker meeting house built in 1791. Camden is also home to the only remaining covered bridge in Kent County, the Hopkins Covered Bridge, which was built in 1830.
